Cheryl has been practising mindfulness for almost a decade.
She taught mindfulness meditation classes whilst she was living in Lisbon & has taught several workshops at large corporate events. She is passionate about mindfulness, in particular what it can do to transform the inner critic & reduce anxiety because the practice has greatly helped her in those two areas.
Mindfulness is a practice which everyone can take up and do know matter where they come from. The practice is relatively simple & accessible and Cheryl aims to keep it that way through her teaching style. Mindfulness practice doesn’t have to be dull to be effective & Cheryl aims to make her classes fun & a little bit different, whilst still passing across the core principles and teachings of mindfulness.
Cheryl teaches a weekly evening mindfulness meditation class, Pyjama Meditations & runs a 4 week mindfulness program for managing Anxiety which she wrote after completing her teacher training. Having attended several 8 week mindfulness programs herself, including the MBSR and the Mindful Living Program, Cheryl wrote her program to sit alongside these programs as an offering which is a little more hands on & practical. Read more about the program here.
Cheryl qualified as a Mindfulness teacher in 2020, studying with Mindfulness UK. She is also a support worker, is a member of social services scotland council & is a member of PVG (protecting vulnerable groups).
